Our primary focus as the ACMS Group lies in the thorough investigation of the chemical and mechanical properties in composite materials. Our research endeavors are geared towards unraveling the intricacies of these materials. We aim to devise strategies that not only bolster the strength of the composites, but also unlock a broader range of desirable properties.

Comprehensive Research on Natural Fibre Composites

We address challenges associated with the lower compatibility and reduced interfacial properties of materials with polymer matrices. Through parametric analyses and treatments, we seek to enhance the properties of flax fibres and their composites.

We also explore the integration of treated flax fibres into sustainable composite materials, potentially replacing traditional reinforcements. Investigating the utilization of an infusible thermoplastic resin for its ease of manufacturing and recyclability, aiming to create environmentally friendly composites with improved properties.

Research on Creating Composites from Low-Value Materials

We are engaged in various projects focused on the conversion of low-value materials into high-quality substances suitable for widespread use. Through these endeavors, our aim is to produce versatile composites that can be applied across a broad spectrum of applications.

By delving into these projects, we unlock the potential to create multifunctional composites, expanding their utility and enabling a wide range of applications. This exploration not only enhances the quality of materials but also broadens their functional capabilities, contributing to innovation in various industries.
