Treated flax fibers in Elium Composites

Elium is an infusible thermoplastic resin, which has major advantages in ease of manufacturing and recyclability potential. A thermoplastic is a class of polymer that does not form chemical bonds while curing, making it remouldable and recyclable through heating.

Replacing traditional reinforcements with treated flax fibres may lead to more sustainable composites.

Partially through the process of making a flax fibre / Elium composite panel using Resin Transfer Moulding (RTM) or vacuum infusion.
